Going the distance for Latrobe Community Health

Setting up and managing a cleaning and property maintenance program across 16 different sites, each spaced 100 km’s apart is no easy task. Blue Sky kicked off such a program in October for Latrobe Community Health, including the hiring and training of local staff. The employment of local staff has meant a cleaner can be onsite within minutes, plus it’s a boost for jobs in the region. Learn more here

Blue Sky’s customer processes highlighted by Salesforce

At Blue Sky we work relentlessly to deliver outstanding services to our clients – in fact we currently have a 90% customer retention rate as a result. This was recently highlighted in a case study published by Salesforce, the world’s number 1 CRM (Customer Relationship Management) company. We use a Salesforce CRM solution to understand our customers better and provide our services in a more innovative and efficient way. A quote from the case study captures this – “Working in high risk areas like operating theatres, we need to adhere to the strictest quality standards. Accessing specific customer information and using Salesforce helps us do that and gives us a competitive edge”. Learn more here

Meeting new customers at major trade exhibition

The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is the largest commercial cleaning event of the year. Blue Sky Services were delighted to exhibit for the first time at the event to build our brand in the market and meet lots of people in the industry. We had over 100 people visit our stand over the two days, including existing and new customers. We also met with some amazing suppliers and have purchased a number of innovative new items of cleaning equipment to use with our current clients. If we missed you this year at the event, we hope to see you next year!

Supporting the movement to eliminate single use plastic items

As part of our work for the City of Melbourne Waterways, we can see first hand the amount of single use plastic waste that ends up polluting our water systems. Blue Sky collects, sorts and analyses the rubbish for the city of Melbourne, and one of the most common items we collect are single use plastic straws. It is scary to think that Australians use more than 10 million plastic straws every day. They are a major cause of pollution on our beaches and are very harmful to our delicate marine life.
